Robert D. Voit is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Voit Real Estate Services. As a guiding force behind the firm, Mr. Voit’s commitment to its people, and to quality, community enhancement, professionalism, and integrity has been demonstrated throughout the organization since its inception in 1971.

Under Mr. Voit’s supervision, Voit Real Estate Services has been instrumental in transforming the commercial real estate industry in Southern California, developing, acquiring and managing over 45 million square feet, spearheading construction projects in excess of $1.5 billion and conducting brokerage transactions in excess of $32 billion.

Mr. Voit served as Chairman of Commuter Computer, as the first Vice Chairman of The Valley Cultural Foundation, and as a member of the board of The Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce and the Los Angeles City Headquarters Association.

He has received dozens of awards including the Founders Award from the Boys and Girls Club, the Free Enterprise Award from the San Fernando Valley Business and Professional Association, the VICA Award for Corporate Excellence, and the Valley of the Stars Award, presented by the Economic Alliance of the San Fernando Valley. Mr. Voit is also active in the Urban Land Institute.

His true commitment to the communities in which he works is best illustrated by his significant involvement with several chapters of The Boys and Girls Club of America and his role in founding The West Valley Boys & Girls Club.

Prior to forming Voit Real Estate Services, Mr. Voit was an Office Leasing Specialist with Coldwell Banker. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley and his master’s degree from California State University, Los Angeles.

 

Brian Malliet

As Chief Investment Officer of Voit Real Estate Services, Mr. Malliet leads all strategic relationships and business development initiatives for the firm.

Prior to joining Voit Real Estate Services, Mr. Malliet founded bkm Development, a full-service real estate development company that specialized in acquisition, development, construction, property repositioning and asset management services. Within 4 years of the inception of his company, bkm Development was ranked as the #1 developer in Orange County.

Before bkm, Mr. Malliet worked closely with Robert D. Voit for twelve years at Voit Commercial Brokerage and for five years at Voit Development Company. As Vice President of Acquisition & Development at Voit Development Company, Mr. Malliet was responsible for the acquisition and development of property valued at more than $487 million and in excess of six million square feet. He oversaw all aspects of acquisition, underwriting, development, execution and investment capital fundraising in Orange, Los Angeles and San Diego Counties. One of his acquisitions was the largest industrial portfolio to be acquired in Southern California in more than a decade.

Prior to his career at Voit Development Company, Mr. Malliet was a Vice President in the Voit Commercial Brokerage Anaheim office for twelve years, where he sold and/or leased in excess of $750 million of commercial property totaling more than 154 million square feet. Mr. Malliet was honored as one of the firm’s “Top 5” producers for each of his last ten years with the brokerage company.

An active supporter of the children’s charity Operation Smile, Mr. Malliet graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration.

 

Barbara Rea

As Director of Marketing at Voit Real Estate Services, Barbara Rea leads the company’s overall strategic marketing, branding, advertising, and public relations initiatives to position the firm as the leading Western United States commercial real estate services provider. Ms. Rea also oversees the company’s market research and training departments for Voit Real Estate Services.

Prior to joining Voit, Ms. Rea was the Southwest Regional Marketing Director for Pulte Homes. She is a marketing veteran with more than 13 years of marketing experience creating, launching and delivering comprehensive and highly successful strategic marketing and advertising campaigns for Fortune 250 companies including Pulte Homes, Centex Homes, Unisys Corporation and The Irvine Company.

Ms. Rea graduated cum laude with a Marketing Communications degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA and holds a Marketing Certificate from University of California, Irvine as well as her Certified Marketing Director designation through ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers). She is also a former Board Director for the Inland Empire Sales & Marketing Council.

 

Gene Fuller

As Director of Asset and Property Management, Gene W. Fuller will oversee Voit's existing asset and property management portfolio, as well as smoothly on-boarding new clients, properties and portfolios. Fuller is responsible for the profitability, results, training and management of Voit's real estate operations projects and team, including creation and implementation of operational policy, procedure, and best practices.

Prior to joining Voit, Fuller was with GE Commercial Finance, a division of GE Real Estate's West Region offices. At GE, Fuller was Senior Director of its North America Equity division. Earlier in his career, Fuller was with Equitable Real Estate/Lend Lease where he was responsible for Investment Management in Southern California, Arizona, Colorado, and Hawaii. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Investment Management for Value Enhancement Fund, LLC, a national value add investment advisor with $4 billion under management.

Fuller received his Bachelors in Management with an emphasis in Marketing from San Diego State University, is a licensed California real estate salesperson, and holds a Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation. He is a member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers, Institute of Real Estate Management, and Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA) International, where he was the former National Chair on the Asset Management Committee.

 

Chris Wood

As Managing Director of Voit Real Estate Services’ San Diego office, Mr. Wood is responsible for overseeing Voit’s San Diego operations and directs a team comprised of landlord and tenant leasing and sales professionals, investment sales professionals, portfolio managers, real estate operators, project managers, property managers, financial analysts, and brokerage professionals who work together to provide clients with a single-point of service for all of their real estate requirements.

Prior to joining Voit, Mr. Wood was Vice President of Real Estate Development at Opus West Corporation, for which he established the company’s San Diego office. In that position, he was responsible for the acquisition, asset management and disposition of commercial product in the region and grew the company’s operations into a $95 million annual pipeline within two and a half years, establishing Opus as one of the region’s top commercial real estate firms.

Mr. Wood also held positions with Trammell Crow Company, Colliers Iliff Thorn and Charles Dunn Company. With over 12 years of hands-on institutional quality investment and development experience, Mr. Wood has developed and then subsequently leased or sold approximately 2.4 million square-feet of commercial real estate. His brokerage career transaction volume of $600 million represents 8 million square-feet of corporate facilities, 170 acres of land development, 142 residential lots and 205 apartment units.

Mr. Wood is a member of NAIOP and the USD Graduate School of Real Estate Advisory Committee.

Mr. Wood is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the State of California. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California at San Diego.

 

Kevin Sheehan

As Managing Director of Voit’s Sacramento office, Mr. Sheehan is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Voit’s operations in the Greater Sacramento market, including asset and property management, brokerage, construction and development services.

Prior to joining Voit, Mr. Sheehan was a senior vice president with CB Richard Ellis’ Roseville, California office. In his 21 years of experience with CB Richard Ellis, Sheehan has specialized in tenant representation in office leasing and buyer representation for land and commercial property sales. Mr. Sheehan was recognized as a “Top 3” producer in his office 15 times. As a member of the Association of Commercial Real Estate (ACRE), Sheehan was awarded the Land Broker of the Year Award.

Mr. Sheehan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and English from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is also a graduate of the St. Charles Center for Professional Education.

 

Mike Montandon

As Managing Director of the Las Vegas Region, Mr. Montandon oversees Voit's full range of commercial real estate services on behalf of area investors, banks, financial institutions, and special servicers, for which Voit serves as surrogate owners of their distressed assets. Montandon, who served as Mayor of North Las Vegas for the 12 years of 1997 through 2009, was previously the Director of Government Affairs at Core Construction and has nearly 20 years of experience in management, construction, commercial appraisal and land planning. Montandon completed the Harvard University Program for Senior Executives at the John F. Kennedy School of Government and holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Arizona State University.
